The two friends make their way over by bus, then walk the rest. When they are almost there, they almost run straight into a cluster of people.
“Are you waiting for the concert,” Emma asks them.
The girl closest turn to them and nods, “It has been moving pretty fast, though.”
Emma leans to see past them, “This line is so long.”
Robin stifles a laugh.
Her friend elbows her and sarcastically says, “I’m so sorry. I meant queue.”
While they wait in the turtle slow line, Emma explains who the band is. Emma seems to tell every small detail by the time they get to the ticket seller.
“Two,” Robin says.
Emma tries to interject, but Robin waves her off, “This is for picking up the cab payment.”
They make their way inside to be met with a large crowd. Robin is frozen in place.
“That’s a big crowd.”
Emma leans into her and gives a little nudge, “It’s alright. We can stand towards the back away from the crowd.”
As they walk over to a far wall, Emma pulls a flack out of her tights. She takes a sip and gestures it towards Robin.
She shakes her head, “I’m good.”
The two spend all of the time before the music starts people watching. As the band introduces themselves, Robin feels that tug again. She tries to ignore it, but it is stronger than last time. She puts her hand on her chest.
“Ru? Are you okay?”
Robin nods, but the tug strengthens, “It’s the tug.”
“Like the last night tug?”
She keeps her head low and nods. Emma scans the crowd in front of them. She jumps trying to see everyone.
“I see him,” she screams over the rock music.
“How do you know?”
She smiles, “Because he is holding his chest like you.”
Robin looks up at her, “For real?”
She nods, her teeth revealed in a huge grin.
“Let’s go,” Emma says as she pulls her towards the crowd.
Robin pulls out of her grip, “I can’t.”
